We have found a source for smaller barrels and are working on 10 and 15 gallon American Oak Barrels. Please ask. |

Five gallons is 18.9271 liters. You will need to top up with 1.0729 liters of wine or 1 quart (32 ounces) plus 4 ounces. If you use 750 ml bottles, that will be 1 1/2 bottles of wine to top up this barrel. Six gallons is 23 liters. It may be better to call
this barrel a 6 gallon barrel and not be able to fit it all in.
Button up that overage for topping. Wine in small barrels doesn't
take long. Check for taste in 1-2 weeks! |

NOTE: You must read barrel care. A barrel that is cleaned with Barrel Kleen or Soda Ash must be rinsed with an acid solution to neutralize the cleaning agents. |
