The competition is open only to amateurs who are residents of
New York State. It is fully approved by the New York
State Department of Agriculture and Markets. The grapes/fruit or juices
used do not have to be from NYS. The final judging is held at
the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The judges are all professionals from the
New York Wine Industry.
2012:
All wines must be received at the Fair Grounds by Wednesday, May 30,
2012. If using one of the designated Drop-Points, it must be at the Drop-Point
by Friday, May 25, 2012.

The judging will be held on Friday, June 8 , 2012 at the New
York State Fairgrounds, Syracuse, New York.

The
awards ceremony will be held in the Art and Home Center Theater on Sunday,
August 26 @ 12:00 noon.

Best Awards
Entry to the ceremony does require having a ticket to the Fair, which
normally costs $10 per adult. Children 12 and under are free. Each winner
