Quick Links Altec or Referance cork www.101winemaking.com Contact Us 10110 Hyatt Hill Dundee, New York 14837 607-292-3995   Dear marcelle,    Buds are pushing and some tiny leaves are out.  Soon the vineyards will be tied and pretty in pink. A delicate pink edges the new leaves and tiny grape clusters of certain varieties.      Our winemakers are getting anxious to finish wines from the 2007 vintage as they look forward to the upcoming winemaking season.    To Introduce our winemakers to our substitute for a premium cork, we are having a special on the Reference cork.  Reference corks , formerly called  Altec Corks, are partly agglomerated (natural cork ground into tiny particles) and partly synthetic.  Reference corks are very durable and ideal for wines that will be aged a long time.  The Reference corks also recover shape immediately, permitting bottles to be place on their sides at once.
