Dear Winemakers!

The Vintage of 2009 continues to challenge winemakers!  We have used up to 25% water for some of the high acid 2009 French Hybrid and Vinifera wines plus sweetening to finish.  Tom adjusted acids in the fall of 2009 using the pH as a guide line rather than maximum TA reduction. You may have to think outside normal post-fermentation recommendations for finishing some of those wines.   

2009 wines are winning awards commercially and can on an amateur level!  Take advantage of 20% off on the Diam cork and get going.  Tom and I are bottling 2009 and working with 2010 wines.  Good Luck!

Hopefully you have finished cold stabilizing your wines.  I am not going to pray for 25-30 degree temperatures for you if you haven't. Our snow and ice is almost gone!

Yes, if you have cold stabilized and your wine has not fallen bright, you may fine at this point!

We (Tom and Marcy Mitchell) are owners of a small vineyard, Pa'tridge Run Farms, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region in central New York on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.  We are not a winery, though, you are the wine makers! 

TOM has been growing grapes since 1972 and for amateur winemakers since 1978.  We have a full line of supplies for the amateur wine maker and brewer.  We ship supplies to USA and Canada, but are unable to ship our grapes or juices.  

Tom would like to retire from grape growing.  If you drive by, you will notice the for sale signs.  Be assured that we are still very much in the business of growing high quality grapes and selling supplies!!  I have added a page to our website that list the varieties and trellis systems we have on the Hyatt Hill farm (Pa'tridge Run Farms).
