Fall Bright has been providing winemaking supplies, grapes, juices (plus brewing supplies) for amateur winemakers for over 20 years. HOME WINE COMPETITION AWARDS 104 WINES at the 2003 NEW YORK STATE FAIR The 2003 New York State Home Wine Competition awarded 104 wines from a total of 347 entries in this year's event. The
competition, now in its twenty second year, is an annual event here in New York State. The competition is open only to amateurs who are residents of New York State. This year the competition awarded 29 Gold medallions, 32 Silver medallions and 43 Bronze medallions. The competition is organized and run by the New York State Home Wine Committee of the American Wine Society and is fully approved by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. It is a two level competition with a preliminary judging held on one day, followed two weeks later by a final judging of the wines receiving the highest preliminary scores. The Final Judging was held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The Final Judges are all professionals from the New York Wine Industry.
