Lakes Wine Festival is an annual event at the
race track July
16-18, 2010 in
Watkins Glen. Events begin Friday PM followed by two days of
wall to wall wines. We have been at this festival for the last 10
years and have decided not to attend this year. The shop will be

Finger Lakes Trails: The actual Finger Lakes
viticultural area is centered around four main lakes with American Indian
names: Canandaigua (meaning The Chosen Place), Keuka (Crooked Lake),
Seneca, and Cayuga. Wineries around Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga and
Canandaigua Lakes have organized "wine trails" with their own
brochures, special events, and other activities to conveniently welcome
visitors. "Cayuga Lake is also recognized as a separate viticultural
area within the Finger Lakes region, due to its unique geographical
conditions for growing grapes. Not all the wineries on any given lake
are members of the trail, however, stop in anyway!
