2006 New York State
Home Wine Competition

The 2006 New York State Home Wine committee awards are below. The competition, now in its 25th year, is an annual event here in New York State.
The competition is open only to amateurs who are residents of New York State. It is organized and run by the New York State Home Wine Committee of the American Wine Society and is fully approved by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets. It is a two-level competition with a preliminary judging held on one day, followed two weeks later by a final judging of the wines receiving the highest preliminary scores. The final judging was held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. The final judges are all professionals from the New York Wine Industry.
